BIG’s London Studio is currently looking for a proactive and ambitious IT Assistant to join our Operations team.
The ideal candidate must have some experience within IT support, desktop, and network troubleshooting and setup. You must have an interest in working across a broad range of technologies and the ability to troubleshoot a wide variety of issues.
You will be reporting directly to the IT Coordinator in the London office, though the role also involves working closely with the IT teams based in our Copenhagen, Barcelona and New York offices. You must be committed to working in a self-motivated and collaborative manner, with a desire to continually learn and develop within a fast-paced environment.
This job description reflects the core activities of the role, although there will be changes in the emphasis of duties as required from time to time. There is a requirement for the post-holder to recognise this and adopt a flexible approach to work.
Please upload your CV and any relevant references. We will contact you if your profile matches our requirements. Salary will be subject to experience and qualifications.
Relevant applicants will be interviewed on an on-going basis, as we are seeking to fill this vacancy as soon as possible.
Diversity has been part of our DNA since BIG’s foundation. A multitude of cultures and backgrounds creates a new point of reference which leads to amazing insights. At BIG, we value, celebrate and support diversity because it makes our team, work and the built environment better. We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and take affirmative action to employ equally regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, or gender identity.

BIG is a Copenhagen, New York, London, Barcelona, Shanghai, Los Angeles, Zurich, and Bhutan-based global architecture firm operating within the fields of architecture, urbanism, interior design, landscape design, product design, and research & development. The office is currently involved in a large number of projects throughout Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania.
BIG’s architecture emerges out of a careful analysis of how contemporary life constantly evolves and changes, not least due to the influence from multicultural exchange, global economic flows, and communication technologies that all together require new ways of architectural and urban organization. We believe that in order to deal with today’s challenges, architecture can profitably move into a field that has been largely unexplored.
A pragmatic utopian architecture that steers clear of the petrifying pragmatism of boring boxes and the naïve utopian ideas of digital formalism. Like a form of programmatic alchemy, we create architecture by mixing conventional ingredients such as living, leisure, working, parking, and shopping. By hitting the fertile overlap between pragmatic and utopia, we as architects once again find the freedom to change the surface of our planet to better fit contemporary life forms.
