The IT Asset Owner is a critical role responsible for the governance, risk management, and strategic oversight of IT applications, ensuring they are secure, compliant, and resilient throughout their lifecycle.

In this role, you will have extensive IT risk management skills and an understanding of software development methodologies, IT policies, and information security. You will act as a key liaison among Application teams, Production Support group, Chief Security Office, Group Audit and the central Risk & Control team to proactively identify, document, and remediate risks. This role requires a strategic mindset to balance compliance requirements with the pace of delivery, guiding teams in the governance of IT platform reliability and resilience.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a single point of contact for the mentioned stakeholder groups, facilitating open communication, decision-making, clearing of blockers and dependencies, and translating technical details into easy to consume information.
• Enterprise IT Compliance: Manage information systems to ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations; provide specialist advice on correcting compliance issues.
• Information Security: Review and plan remediation for issues identified in security risk and vulnerability assessments, provide guidance on the application of security controls.
• Risk Management: Proactively assess, identify, and document risks. Carry out risk assessments, coordinate the development of countermeasures, and contribute to technology resilience.
• Audit & Remediation: Assist the application teams in the remediation of audit points and self-identified issues to reduce risk. Document evidence and communicate the required technology remediation measures to the application teams.
• Change & Project Management: Define and manage IT Asset compliance-related projects, applying appropriate methodologies (plan-driven or agile) to ensure successful delivery within scope and timeline.

Your Skills and Experience

• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
• Extensive Knowledge of IT risk management, information security, development methodologies, and IT policies and procedures.
• Consultancy & Specialist Advice: Proven ability to understand client requirements, deliver analysis, and provide definitive, expert advice in your specialist area(s).
• Leadership and Influence: Ability to work under general direction with substantial autonomy, influencing customers, suppliers, and partners. Experience mentoring individuals and promoting best practices.
• Communication Skills: Fluent oral and written communication, with the ability to present complex technical and business information clearly to diverse audiences. Great collaborator / team player.
• Basic knowledge of and experience with modern SDLC tools (Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity) is required.
• Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field is required. A minor in Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering is a plus.
