IT & Applications Support Engineer

Responsible for delivering day-to-day IT operational support while also supporting, maintaining, and enhancing manufacturing and business applications.

The role supports both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments, ensuring production continuity, system availability, user satisfaction, and continuous improvement of digital solutions across the plant.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot application errors, performance issues, and user-reported problems
  • Monitor application availability and data integrity
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders on escalated application issues
  • Develop and maintain operational reports and dashboards
  • Create SQL queries, stored procedures, and data validations
  • Support development and enhancement of internal applications and dashboards
  • Modify and maintain existing scripts, queries, and application configurations
  • Participate in medium-sized IT and application-related projects including:
  • Support testing, validation, documentation, and user training
  • Respond to helpdesk tickets related to hardware, software, access, and network issues
  • Troubleshoot workstation, laptop, mobile device, and peripheral issues
  • Support industrial switches, VLAN connectivity, and shop-floor network infrastructure
  • Assist with firewall, endpoint protection, and security compliance activities
  • Validate communication between PLCs, databases, and application platforms
  • Support CCTV systems, camera connectivity, and recording validation
  • Maintain access control systems including badge readers and door controllers
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding access changes
  • Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and equipment tracking

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Intermediate English Level

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in application support, systems analysis, or manufacturing IT environments
  • Experience in IT support within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Experience with OT environments and production systems strongly preferred

Technical Skills

  • Experience with relational databases such as: MSSQL
  • Basic to intermediate scripting knowledge preferred: Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, SQL Stored Procedures
  • Experience developing and maintaining web applications
  • Knowledge of front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3.
  • Familiarity with MES, SCADA, or Ignition platforms
  • Understanding of application lifecycle support and testing
  • Experience supporting integrations and APIs is a plus
  • Windows OS and Windows Server administration
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, switches, firewalls)

On-site Work Arrangement:

This role is based fully onsite, and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.
