THE OPPORTUNITY
OCERS is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Applications Developer I (Limited-Term) to join the Information Technology Programming and Development team in support of the implementation of OCERS' new Pension Administration System (PAS).
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career technology professional to gain hands-on experience in application development, business process automation, data analytics, and AI-powered solutions while contributing to critical modernization initiatives. The selected candidate will work alongside experienced developers and business professionals, gaining exposure to enterprise software development best practices while receiving mentorship and guidance. Responsibilities will include developing business applications, automated workflows, reports, dashboards, and collaboration tools using Microsoft technologies such as Power Platform, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Copilot Studio, Power Apps, and Power Automate. This position will play a key role in improving business processes, automating repetitive tasks, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting the successful implementation of OCERS’ new Pension Administration System.

OCERS' Human Resources Department will screen all application materials to identify qualified candidates. Applications submitted without a completed supplemental information form will be disqualified from further consideration. After screening, the more qualified candidates will be referred to the next step in the recruitment process and notified via e-mail of all further procedures applicable to their application status.
In-Person Examination (AAP) | (Refer/Non-Refer)
Applicants who meet the desired qualifications will be invited to participate in one or more job-related examinations. Applicants will be notified of their exam date. Only the most successful candidates will be referred to the next step in the process.
Qualifications Appraisal Panel | Oral Interview
Candidates will be interviewed and rated by a panel of job knowledge experts. Each candidate's rating will be based on responses to a series of structured questions designed to elicit the candidate's qualifications for the job.
