We are seeking an experienced and solutions-focused IT Applications Administrator to join our Information Technology team. This role is ideal for a technology professional who enjoys administering business systems, building integrations, improving business processes, and delivering technology solutions that support organisational performance and service delivery.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Technology, the IT Applications Administrator is responsible for supporting the organisation's business systems and application management environment.

You will play a key role in maintaining and optimising business applications, integrations, automation solutions and reporting systems. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation, you will help improve system utilisation, business processes and organisational outcomes while ensuring applications remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and optimise core business applications including Microsoft 365, Salesforce (Lumary) and Employment Hero.
• Manage user access, licensing, role-based permissions and security controls across organisational systems.
• Design, implement and maintain system integrations, automated workflows and business process improvements using APIs and Microsoft Power Automate.
• Monitor application performance, reliability and data integrity to ensure systems remain secure, available and effective.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration and data-related issues, acting as a senior escalation point when required.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and support providers to resolve complex technical issues.
• Support system upgrades, enhancements, patches and feature deployments with minimal disruption to business operations.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and performance metrics that support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Prepare reports, data visualisations and insights for management and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business units to define reporting requirements, performance measures and data collection processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve system utilisation, reporting capabilities, data management and business processes.
• Support the Head of Technology with the design and ongoing development of the organisation's application environment.
• Coordinate and support application-related projects, including planning, implementation and monitoring activities.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing across the organisation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience administering Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Employment Hero or similar enterprise platforms.
• Strong understanding of user provisioning, licensing and role-based access controls.
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and supporting API integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Automate and workflow automation.
• Ability to improve business processes through low-code, no-code and integration solutions.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills across applications, systems and integrations.
• Experience managing incidents, requests and escalations while delivering timely resolutions.
• Knowledge of security controls, compliance requirements and best practices.
• At least two years' experience in application administration and integration management.
• Strong organisational, planning and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into practical business outcomes.
• A collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.

Desirable

• Proficiency in Agile, ITIL or other IT service and project management frameworks.
• Experience managing relationships with software vendors and third-party support providers.
• Knowledge of Essential Eight or similar cyber security frameworks.

Mandatory Requirements

• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
