Job Description

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology center in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.

The Shared Applications and Services (SAS) organization was created in 2023 to manage shared tools across the bank, such as workflow platforms, document systems, and process automation. Within SAS, the Workflow Tribe delivers secure, scalable workflow solutions and plays a key role in driving innovation and agility across the bank. It works in an agile setup with Squads and Centers of Expertise (CoEs) to support collaboration and continuous delivery.

We are seeking a motivated IT Application Owner (ITAO) Junior to support the management, stability, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and infrastructure partners to ensure reliable and compliant application services throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Application Ownership & Service Management
  • Support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of assigned applications.
  • Monitor application health, availability, and performance.
  • Coordinate incident resolution and service request handling.
  • Change, Release & Environment Management
  • Participate in planning, testing, and deployment of application changes.
  • Support release management activities across development, test, and production environments.
  • Ensure changes comply with established governance processes.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination
  • Collaborate with business users, development teams, infrastructure teams, and external vendors.
  • Track and manage issues, risks, and dependencies.
  • Support communication and reporting related to application services.
  • Risk, Security & Regulatory Compliance
  • Assist with audit requests, risk assessments, and control execution.
  • Support vulnerability remediation and security-related initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and technology standards.
  • Continuous Improvement & Documentation
  • Maintain operational and technical documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
  • Contribute to initiatives improving application reliability, efficiency, and user experience.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in IT, software engineering, application support, or application management.
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management concepts (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
  • Understanding of databases, web applications, and enterprise systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global and diverse environment.
