The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) has approximately 85 full-time staff members and 100 undergraduate or graduate students who work each day to support the mission of UMBC through the delivery of IT services to the campus. DoIT provides robust, secure IT environments that enable solutions for advancing the UMBC community. Position Overview:
The IT Analyst serves as a vital bridge between technical compliance and digital accessibility, ensuring that the university’s digital landscape is inclusive and functional for all users. At its core, the role is dedicated to the proactive maintenance and remediation of web platforms and university-sponsored software. This position will work in close collaboration with DoIT Associate VP, University Communication and Marketing (UCM) and the Division of Institutional Equity to support digital accessibility initiatives. The Analyst provides a first line of defense for accessibility reports, ensuring that digital barriers are identified and dismantled quickly across campus sites and software. Furthermore, this role will support accessibility, privacy, and security documentation for the software catalog. This role acts as a strategic gatekeeper for digital procurement, evaluating new software and websites to ensure that any necessary accommodations or remediations are negotiated before a single product is launched or purchased.

Salary:
Sa lary: $62,000 - $70,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
