We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Analyst (ServiceNow Platform) to join our Dunedin-based IT team. This role supports the design, development, and ongoing operation of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring it is stable, secure, and aligned with organizational standards.

Working under the guidance of the Senior Systems Analyst (ServiceNow) and in close collaboration with an external ServiceNow support partner, the role is additionally responsible for day-to-day platform administration, configuration, and delivery of enhancements across core ServiceNow capabilities.

Key role requirements:

• Support the day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow platform.
• Assist with the development & configuration of ServiceNow applications, workflows, forms and business logic using JavaScript, JSON and ServiceNow scripting.
• Configure and maintain client scripts, business rules, ACLs, UI policies, flows, catalogue items, notifications and data structures.
• Support integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST, SOAP, Integration Hub and other APIs.
• Assist with testing, deployment and promotion of changes across environments in line with platform governance.
• Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of ServiceNow applications.
• Contribute to process automation and multi-system integration projects.
• Build and maintain technical documentation for configurations, integrations and customisations.
• Participate in platform upgrades and ensure custom applications remain compatible.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support the implementation of ITIL4 best practices within the ServiceNow platform.
• Complete ServiceNow training and obtain Certified System Administrator (CSA) within the first 6-12 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent, Computer Science, Business Analyst, Business Administration or relevant experience.
• Full class 1 drivers licence is preferred.
• Unrestricted work rights / current New Zealand Visa is required for this position.

Preferred Experience:

• Any exposure to ServiceNow or similar platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Jira, SAP, workflow tools).
• Experience with SOAP or other integration methods.
• Experience with Chrome Developer Tools & Postman (API requests, auth, payload inspection).
• Experience with JavaScript, JSON.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Experience working with REST APIs (consuming or building), including JSON-based request and response payloads.
• Understanding of web technologies and client/server concepts.
• Experience working with technical systems in a support, development or engineering role Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
