This role is responsible for design, development, support and maintenance of Trade Operations applications. Position will require incumbent to directly work with business users & global teams over phone, email or meetings as needed. The role is viewed as skilled in IT frameworks, technical requirements analysis, non-functional requirements specifications, application design, application development, performance tuning and troubleshooting of distributed application. Position is responsible for IT solution availability, maintenance, change request development, root cause identification & corrective actions along with regular improvement of IT applications and processes. The position manages the completion of own work assignments and coordinates work with others. Based on past experiences and knowledge, the incumbent works in close collaboration with peers & other IT teams.

What You Will Do:

Operational & Behavioral Competencies:

  • Work collaboratively with distributed teams.
  • Develop high level & low-level design & solutions for complex business requirements.
  • Create Logical Technical Architecture diagram for new solutions.
  • Lead technical teams in troubleshooting and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Champion process effectiveness & improvements by owning governance controls.
  • Define & improve quality processes & guidelines.
  • Ability to collaborate & operate in a team environment, developing own & other’s ideas.
  • Recognize and troubleshoot moderate/complex technical problems within IT service agreement levels.
  • Monitors and pro-actively responds to output from tools and monitoring systems.
  • Excellent communication skills. Communicates with cross-functional teams, primarily at the individual contributor level, to provide problem resolution updates.
  • Develop and maintain deep technical and business knowledge of the domain.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis of technical incidents.
  • Work on multiple problems or projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Technical skills:

  • Good knowledge of Trade Operations.
  • Good knowledge in OneSource Imports/Exports Application.
  • Good knowledge in OneSource Classification.
  • Experience in one or more relational databases such as Oracle, MYSQL
  • Experience troubleshooting technologically challenging customer issues. Able to use advanced debugging techniques.
  • Knowledge of supply chain & expertise in Functional aspects of Trade Operations Domain.
  • Demonstrated functional analyst skills with E2E exposure of application life cycle (Waterfall and Agile methodologies)

Top candidate might also have

  • Knowledge in data analysis.
  • Knowledge on API programming and platforms
  • Knowledge of common data structure formats like XML, JSON, EDI etc.
  • Knowledge of Snowflake.
  • Knowledge in java script.

The candidate must be very strong in communication skills, both written and verbal. Should be dedicated and have good attitude towards work, self-motivated and willing to take ownership for own & team deliverables. Should be able to work independently on assigned tasks. Should be willing to work on flexible timing's covering US shift on need basis. Flexible to lead own system initiative for development, support and life cycle maintenance.

Additional Information

Shift: Involves multiple shits on rotational basis as listed below.

  • 1 PM IST to 10 PM IST (regular shift)
  • Weekend deployment activities & support (On-demand – Monthly or emergency release)
