The AI Application Developer supports Huatai International’s strategic AI initiatives by designing , developing and deliver production-ready AI applications. This role focuses on building practical, production-ready AI solutions, either by enhancing existing business applications with AI capabilities or by developing new AI-driven applications and agent-based systems.

  • Design, develop, and integrate AI-powered features into existing enterprise applications or new agentic AI applications to support business functions (e.g. research tools, internal productivity platforms).
  • Assemble AI solutions using a combination of models, frameworks, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and develop them into application-level AI solutions.
  • Develop, test, and deploy AI applications with a focus on reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Ensure solutions comply with security, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support full lifecycle: deployment, monitoring, optimization, and user feedback iteration.
  • Stay current with advancements in AI application frameworks, LLM tooling, and agent architectures.
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI to improve efficiency, user experience, and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, AI application development, or related roles in regulated environment (financial services preferred).
  • Hands-on experience developing applications using AI technologies such as LLMs, NLP, or applied machine learning.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, investment workflows, or regulatory/compliance processes.


Technical Skills

  • Strong programming skills in Python; experience integrating APIs and third-party services (cloud-based or enterprise-grade).
  • Practical experience with LLM-based applications (RAG, agent orchestrations), prompt engineering, and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Familiarity with AI agent concepts, orchestration logic, and tool-based reasoning.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and business users.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into working applications with a user-focused mindset.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and changing priorities.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; conversational Mandarin is required.
