Job Description

Location: Lisbon,Lisbon,Portugal

The person in this role will be responsible for managing all aspects of File Transfer and Data Exchanges within the Milan department. This involves ensuring the secure and precise movement of sensitive data between internal teams and external entities (clients, markets, etc.) and maintaining the stability of the data exchange infrastructure to support business operations.

What will you do?

  • Gather technical requirements for new file transfer setups and data exchange flows.
  • Participate in the change request process for any connectivity updates (technical and functional).
  • Carry out and coordinate rigorous testing on implemented configurations to ensure zero-error delivery.
  • Participate in launching and following up on connectivity initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintain extreme precision in the configuration of sensitive data exchanges to prevent data leakage or loss.
  • Identify gaps in current exchange processes and suggest improvements for security or efficiency.
  • Ensure comprehensive and detailed documentation of all file transfer maps and configurations.
  • Prioritize assigned connectivity projects and independently accept ownership of tasks.
  • Co-ordinate with internal stakeholders and external system administrators to provide timely status updates.
  • Perform level 3 support for file transfer issues, analyzing failures in data exchange and implementing immediate workarounds to minimize business impact.
  • Manage and maintain Axway software suites (specifically Axway CFT and Axway SecureTransport) to ensure high availability.
  • Ensure a smooth follow-up of all transfer processes (scheduled flows, real-time exchanges, and batches), ensuring that known issues are documented for first-line support.
  • Interface directly with external system administrators in English to troubleshoot connectivity and handshake issues.

What are we looking for?

  • Technical Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extreme precision and high attention to detail, specifically regarding the handling of sensitive data.
  • Strong ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving data exchange standards.
  • High level of organizational skills to manage multiple external entity connections simultaneously.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical scenarios from a systems administration perspective.
  • Mandatory proficiency in written and spoken English for interfacing with external global administrators.
  • Proven experience with Axway software (Axway CFT and/or Axway SecureTransport).
  • Capable of managing services running on Linux or Windows Servers (stop, start, deploy, debug).
  • Technical knowledge of transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS and HTTPS) and network basics (TCP/IP, Firewalls, Load Balancers) is required.
