– IT ADMINISTRATOR
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented IT Administrator to manage and support the organization’s IT infrastructure, endpoint environment, user access management, and day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth IT operations, supporting end users, managing IT assets, administering Google Workspace and JumpCloud environments, and maintaining network and device security.
This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, ownership mindset, vendor coordination abilities, and hands-on experience with modern IT administration tools and processes.
Key Responsibilities
IT Asset & Procurement Management
• Manage end-to-end procurement of laptops, peripherals, accessories, and other IT hardware.
• Coordinate with vendors for quotations, purchases, deliveries, warranty claims, repairs, and replacements.
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and lifecycle management records.
• Track asset allocation, returns, upgrades, repairs, and disposal activities.
• Ensure proper documentation of asset ownership and device status.
• User Onboarding & Offboarding
• Prepare and configure laptops/workstations for new employees.
• Create and manage user accounts, email accounts, access permissions, shared drives, and collaboration tools.
• Install and configure required applications, security policies, and endpoint protection tools.
• Support onboarding activities for seamless employee setup and productivity.
• Manage employee exit processes including asset recovery and access revocation.
User & Identity Management
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and authentication policies using JumpCloud.
• Handle password resets, MFA setup, account lockouts, and user access requests.
• Manage user groups, device enrollment, and directory synchronization.
• Ensure secure and efficient user lifecycle management practices.
Google Workspace Administration
• Administer and maintain Google Workspace environments.
• Manage user mailboxes, licenses, groups, aliases, and collaboration tools.
• Configure email security settings, shared mailboxes, and distribution groups.
• Monitor license utilization and subscription renewals.
• Troubleshoot email delivery, synchronization, and access-related issues.
Endpoint & Device Management
• Manage endpoint devices across Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.
• Configure and maintain device policies, software deployment, patch management, and compliance standards.
• Enroll and manage devices using MDM solutions.
• Deploy applications, updates, and security configurations remotely.
• Monitor endpoint health, operational performance, and compliance status.
Network & Infrastructure Support
• Support and maintain office network infrastructure including Wi-Fi, routers, switches, VPN connectivity, and internet services.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance-related issues.
• Coordinate with ISPs and vendors for service uptime and issue resolution.
• Configure and maintain CCTV and surveillance systems.
Technical Support & Helpdesk
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to end users.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, email, authentication, printer, peripheral, and network-related issues.
• Provide both remote and onsite support to employees.
• Track support requests and ensure timely issue resolution.
Vendor & Service Management
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, warranty claims, repairs, replacements, renewals, and IT support services.
• Track procurement timelines and vendor deliverables.
• Maintain vendor documentation, contracts, and AMC records.
Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain IT SOPs, operational documentation, and knowledge base articles.
• Generate reports related to:
• IT asset inventory
• License utilization
• Vendor support tickets
• Device compliance
• IT operational metrics
• IT trackers and checklists
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in IT Administration, IT Support, or System Administration roles.
• Hands-on experience with: Google Workspace Administration
• JumpCloud or Identity & Access Management platforms
• Endpoint/MDM solutions
• Windows, macOS, and Linux administration
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of networking concepts and office IT infrastructure.
• Experience managing IT assets and coordinating with vendors.
• Excellent communication and end-user support skills.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with IT ticketing/helpdesk systems.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and endpoint security best practices.
• Familiarity with SaaS administration and cloud-based IT tools.
• Basic scripting or automation knowledge is an added advantage.
