In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
- Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
- Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
- Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
- Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
- A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
- Federal Work Study student may apply.
- In good disciplinary standing.
- Must be located in the U.S.

Division Description:
The Center for Student Advising and Success provides academic support for students through a variety of services including International Student Services, Academic Advising, Study Abroad, Core Music Tutoring, Disability Services, Office of the Registrar, and Retention and Student Success.
Duties & Responsibilities:
(75%) Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide essential support for the ISS staff.
- Manage and organize daily Advisor paperwork (download and print I-20s, and distribute I-20s to the issuing Advisor)
- Manage ISS and ISS Assistant email accounts
- Email students regarding notices from the USCIS
- Process OPT (work permit) applications
- Process OPT cards and Social Security cards that arrive at ISS
- Prepare I-20s and complete ISSM database tasks which notify students about pick up
- Scan documents and attach to the ISSM database
- Help Advisors with project research
- Data entry and check-in processing in ISSM and Colleague – prior to new student arrival, during the orientation week and until ISS has collected at the entering students immigration information
- Assist during semester check in
- Providing/taking constructive feedback, taking initiative, and make suggestions.
- Other duties as assigned
(25%) CSAS Responsibilities
- Answering phones, screening calls, and checking/logging voicemail
- Monitors ticketing system for unresolved phone messages, and respond appropriately
- Provides frontline coverage as needed
