The Institute for the Study of International Development is searching for eligible candidates to act as Teaching Assistants inFall2026.

Applicants must be registered in a graduate program at McGill in theFall2026 term. Teaching Assistants will berequiredon campus to perform their tasks in person. Applicants are requested to submit a CV with their application.

The list below reflects the maximum number of positions available, and some may not be filled. Fractional teaching assistantships (<180 hours) may be offered.

Position

  • Instruction in conference sections;

Qualifications:

  • Must be graduate student enrolled at McGill University; all fields considered;

  • Students with an undergraduate B.A., IDS Honors/Joint Honors encouraged to apply;

  • Demonstrable knowledge of world development preferred;

  • Good academic standing;

  • Sensitivity to issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion strongly encouraged;

  • Students enrolled in the Development Studies graduate option strongly encouraged to apply;

  • Effective communication skills.
