Responsibilities

Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) in their missions to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. Noblis MSD is seeking an In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) to support U.S. Navy Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) programs. You will provide engineering and technical assistance support at San Diego CA This is a full time position, and will consist of a combination of remote work, and onsite work at ships located in Norfolk, with anticipated travel to Philadelphia and Pascagoula. The candidate will be responsible for oversight and coordination of waterfront activities onboard U.S Navy ships and provide technical expertise of Engineering Control System (ECS) to ship personnel. The candidate will identify/analyze/diagnose system faults and failures and provide recommendations for repair or assist ships personnel in repair. The candidate will investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve shipboard problems. The candidate will attend recurring production meetings and provide daily updates of installation/repair activities as required.

  • Complete Shipboard Operabilty Verification Tests for Engineering Control Systems
  • Assess proper integration with various systems
  • Travel to fleet concentration areas to facilitate technical installations, training, and or repairs up to 25%
  • Facilitate crew upgrade training as it pertains to new system installation and operation.
  • Provide subject matter expertise at status meetings. Complete assigned tasking with minimal to no supervision. Facilitate fleet implementation and fielding plans.
  • Develop and execute test plans.
  • Provide feedback and lessons learned for test plans and technical documentation

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s level Degree & 0–3 years of relevant professional experience. For recent graduates: should have applicable academic, internship, co-op, or other relevant experience, and must be able to provide proof of degree completion (diploma or official transcript) prior to their start date.
  • In Lieu of a Bachelor's degree will also consider an Associates degree & 3 years, or High School diploma & 6 years of technical experience in troubleshooting, repairing and testing electrical to mechanical systems or prior active military service with an electrical discipline.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%, domestic and international (passport required).
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
  • Excellent communications skills a must.

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience tracing signals and diagnosing or isolating cause forelectrical failures.
  • Experienced in specific to Naval maintenance and upkeep processes is a plus.
  • Ability to interact with multiple navy activities and effectively communicate technicalinformation with all levels of personnel both military and civilian.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet networking.
  • Troubleshooting of lab and system hardware.
  • General Windows OS experience (Install/Configure/Troubleshoot).
  • Proficient in using MS Office products.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.

USD $59,200.00 - USD $92,575.00 /Yr.
