Job Description
I nternship: May–August (full-time), with the potential to transition to part-time during the fall semester.
The IS Testing Intern will be responsible for reading technical software specifications and executing manual test cases for web-based software as well as documenting results/evidence of testing. The position will be embedded in the manufacturing software development team and will have close collaboration with teammates.
Primary Duties
- Read and understand software specifications and execute test cases against those specifications.
- Record the results of test cases and provide detailed feedback to the development team.
- Use supported products during development for the purpose of discovering defects.
- Ensure, whenever possible, that software defects that are discovered can be reproduced.
- Complete projects on time with supervision from the senior testers on the team.
- Continually update technical knowledge and skills.
- Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Must be actively enrolled in a degree program (Computer Science, Mathematics, or related scientific or engineering field)
- No previous experience required
Preferred Education, Training and Experience
- Basic software testing practices or formal software testing instruction
- Object-oriented programming experience, C# preferred
- Selenium WebDriver
- Playwright

The estimated wage range for this role based in Utah is between $20 – $22. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
