Detailed Description

Provide full project life cycle support for the Enterprise Services Mainframe team to ensure maintenance of Web Services communications and mainframe infrastructure for the Bank’s online software applications. Research, design, develop, integrate, enhance, and support service oriented architecture system projects in COBOL/DB2/CICS/Web Services/MQ/XML mainframe-based environment. Develop integration layer of SOA stack to provide technical solutions based upon user specifications to support financial service lines. Develop unit test cases and perform unit testing and integration of layers based on WebSphere SOA stack. Prepare detailed design document and interface mapping document which describe how various applications should communicate with one another and the databases from which they retrieve and store data. Perform impact analysis, code development, and software debugging. Store and retrieve customer data in tables in various databases using DB2 databases and use SQL to insert, retrieve, and delete data. Run batch programs for applications using JCL, write online batch programs for SOA processes using COBOL, and provide online connectivity for applications and databases using CICS. Use distributed middleware applications, including IBM DataPower, IBM WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus, and IBM Integration Bus, to support integration of mainframe Web Services in a CICS environment. Mentor junior developers in the build stage.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Five years of application development experience including mainframe programming using mainframe languages and tools including COBOL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, MQ, Easytrieve, and JCL. Experience must include at least one year designing and developing mainframe and database programs in Agile environment using technologies such as MVS, TSO/ISPF, SoapUI, XML, IBM Data Studio, ChangeMan, Splunk, DynaTrace, QMF, and Expeditor; integrating with other applications using zOS Connect, and building APIs that that support Distributed Web Services using IBM DataPower, IBM WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus (WESB) and IBM Integration Bus (IIB) to interface with mainframe applications and systems.
