Overview

I.S. Project Manager

(on-site, hybrid, local)

The I.S. Project Manager provides strategic management of leading a project of prioritized enhancement and maintenance initiatives from its inception to execution. The I.S. Project Manager provides daily planning, direction, strategy, execution, and management of resources and scope to meet corporate goals through clear communication, effective planning, and sound staff management. The I.S. Project Manager will work with IS Vice Presidents and Directors to define, scope, and manage the implementation of project initiatives in alignment with Select Medical methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Creates and executes I.S. project work plans and revises them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Understands technical requirements of projects, develops plans to support the project, and manages the day-to-day operational aspects of projects and their scope.
• Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and its scope along with identifying and managing in-house or vendor resources, contracts, and internal and external business partners needed and assigning individual responsibilities.
• Reviews deliverables prepared by the team before passing to the customer. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Effectively applies Select’s project management methodologies, including Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall approaches as appropriate, and enforces project management standards and best practices.
• Minimizes Select’s exposure and risk on projects. Develops mitigation plans.
• Manages project budgets. Tracks and reports consultant and contractor hours, expenses, or fixed-price jobs against the budget. Ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors payables for the project.
• Plans and communicates with business/customer, I.S. Leadership, vendors, and other key stakeholders regarding status, milestones, and issue resolution
• Facilitates team and customer meetings effectively. Holds regular status meetings with project teams.
• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information.
• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
• Manages the process of innovative change effectively and remains current with evolving project management, Agile delivery, and product management practices.
• Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members.
• Effectively applies Select’s methodology and enforces project standards.
• Facilitates team and customer meetings effectively. Holds regular status meetings with project team.
• Builds and maintains lasting relationships with all business stakeholders.
• Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news as it impacts the project.
• Recognize potential areas where policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion. Submit recommendations as appropriate.
• Monitor and report on any security violations related to unwarranted access to corporate data.
• Help build team spirit by assisting other staff members and promoting a positive workplace.
• Maintain awareness of the rapidly changing environment and recommend cost-efficient techniques.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• BS or BA or equivalent education and experience
• Demonstrated project and organizational leadership, including initiative identification, ownership, and implementation responsibilities
• Superior teamwork and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills commensurate with a professional working environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated passion for delivering exemplary customer service
• Ability to effectively multitask and adapt to changing business priorities
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Demonstrated active listening skills and a history of handling human experiences
• Willingness to periodically travel
• Large-scale multi-site IS operations experience
• PC Hardware and peripheral experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft productivity applications
• Knowledge of browser-based technology
• Understanding of operating systems such as Windows and OS X/iOS.
• Prior experience as a technical lead or technical Project Manager – 5 years
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise technology projects using Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid, or traditional project management methodologies. – 5 years
• In-depth understanding of implementing enterprise-level systems – 7 years
• Very strong facilitation and planning skills – 5 years
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills – 5 years
