This Information Systems Operations Analyst 2 – Server Support position provides support for the installation, testing, implementation, and on-going maintenance of servers and associated systems.

ITS is a 24x7 information technology shop. Applicant must be willing and available to perform duties as required by the job. This may include work on nights, weekends and holidays.

Examples of duties

  • Builds, configures, deploys and supports physical or virtual Microsoft and Linux based servers or appliances, including local data storage and peripherals.
  • Performs troubleshooting to resolve server hardware and Operating System issues while making recommendations for corrective action and scheduling vendor service calls as needed.
  • Evaluates service requests, formulates solutions, documents steps taken and results using our ticketing platform while maintaining an acceptable Service Level Obligation completion percentage.
  • Manages OS and 1st party vulnerability remediation; Advises customers of 3rd party application vulnerabilities, the security exclusion process, and escalates unpatched vulnerabilities as required.
  • Participates as directed in projects and initiatives with ITS and other departments.
  • Develops/recommends server specifications, requests quotes, and submits purchase requests.
  • Assists in development and maintenance of processes and procedural documentation for ITS Server Support.
  • Provides insight and recommendations for technological direction and implementation.
  • Responsible for participating in the planning, building, and testing of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures
  • Meets with customers to determine their needs and provide technical and non-technical information in a clear and professional format.

Qualifications

Three (3) years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems.

Valid Driver License
