Job Description

Designs, implements, maintains, collaborates, supports, and monitors the network infrastructure and interfaces to ensure efficient functionality and secure communication. Provides out of hours support periodically as part of an on-call rotation within the team.

Essential Functions:

  • Installs, configures, adjusts, moves, upgrades, and maintains equipment. Develops system and customer documentation. Develops system design specifications and evaluates as needed.
  • Determines the information and processes required to resolve both business and technical issues.
  • Provides network advice and support. Maintains and updates systems in conjunction with user and vendor requirements to proactively guarantee minimal downtime.
  • Supports and implements remote site connectivity, construction of new facilities and renovations to existing facilities. Handles phone trees, transitions areas to new systems, and assists in the setup and configuration of new equipment and technologies.
  • Collaborates on, plans, and schedules implementation of projects. Develops and delivers quality documentation. Facilitates focused meetings and ensures timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Provides technical expertise and advice to junior staff on configuration and troubleshooting techniques. Provides customer education and training.


Education Requirement:

Technical degree in associated area or equivalent experience, required.

  • Ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges.

Experience:

Three years of experience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of data communication networks, preferred.
