Job Description

Supports the development of reporting and analytics solutions that drive operational, clinical, and financial decision-making across the healthcare enterprise. Learns healthcare data systems, assists with report development, and ensures data accuracy, working closely with more experienced analysts and stakeholders.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of standard and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
  • Modifies existing reports under guidance and develops basic reporting solutions from defined requirements. Helps document report specifications, definitions, and data sources.
  • Supports users in retrieving data and understanding basic report content. Provides training and support to others to ensure effective use of business intelligence reports, tools, and solutions.
  • Translates business requirements into technical specifications and data models.
  • Performs basic data validation and quality checks to ensure report accuracy.
  • Collaborates with senior BI analysts, clinical informatics teams, and business users to understand reporting needs.
  • Identifies and recommends process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of data collection and analysis.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field, required.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, follow instructions, and contribute in a team setting.
  • Foundational knowledge of SQL and proficiency in writing basic queries.
  • Familiarity with at least one BI tool such as Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or Crystal Reports.
  • Understanding of relational databases and data structures.

Experience:

  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, or healthcare analytics, preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment or with healthcare data, preferred
