About the Role:

We are seeking an Irrigation Technician to join our Sydney-based Construction team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, reliable team player. Our projects range from large open spaces and sports field installations to commercial high-rise installations. This position includes a company vehicle, fuel card, toll tag, and company phone. Candidates with a background in Plumbing/Irrigation, Landscaping, or Greenkeeping would be well-suited for this role.

• Western Sydney Wanderers Football Club
• Henson Park Stormwater Harvesting
• Doohan Reserve sporting complex
• Caddies Creek sporting complex

Duties include,

• Installation of a new irrigation systems.
• Installation of drainage and water harvesting systems across large complexes
• Irrigation Maintenance and system upkeep
• Diagnose and repair issues within irrigation systems
• Program and adjust irrigation system controllers to ensure proper watering schedules
• Plan and design the layout of pipes and sprinklers to achieve even and efficient water distribution.
• Conduct backflow testing and prevention to ensure the water supply is not contaminated by the irrigation system.
• Implement water-saving technologies and techniques to promote efficient water use and conservation.
• Interact with clients to understand their irrigation needs, provide solutions, and educate them on system operation and maintenance.
• Manage and maintain tools and equipment used for irrigation work, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.

What are we looking for?

• Knowledge of different types of irrigation systems
• Previous experience in maintaining sports fields/ golf irrigation systems
• Great customer service skills and consistently delivering quality workmanship
• Someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced environment and is looking at tackling a new challenge
• Qualification in Turf/Horticulture preferred but not essential
• Driver's licence and WHS White Card
