Job Description

Greencroft Goshen is seeking a Seasonal Irrigation Technician to support our Goshen campus. In this hands-on role, you’ll help maintain and operate irrigation systems that keep our grounds safe, functional, and beautiful for our residents and team members.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain campus irrigation systems
  • Perform seasonal system start-up in spring and winterization in fall
  • Repair and replace sprinkler heads, valves, and irrigation lines
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems are functioning properly
  • Adjust sprinkler heads to avoid overspray on buildings, sidewalks, and roadways
  • Maintain inventory of irrigation parts and request needed supplies
  • Develop and prioritize daily work plans in coordination with the Grounds Team Lead
  • Safely operate equipment such as tractors, mowers, mini-trucks, and power tools
  • Inspect equipment to ensure safe working condition
  • Assist with general grounds support and respond to campus needs as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years of irrigation or grounds maintenance experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems, tools, and repair techniques
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools and grounds equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work efficiently

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Outdoor work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
  • Exposure to equipment, noise, dust, and chemicals (pesticides/herbicides)
  • Use of hand and power tools and operation of machinery
