The role is responsible for conducting sampling and laboratory testing of raw and auxiliary materials, ensuring compliance with quality standards and external inspection requirements. The position involves managing and maintaining test instruments, laboratory facilities, and consumables, as well as organizing and archiving test records, reports, and methods. Additional responsibilities include implementing the 6S management system, participating in improvement and innovation projects, and ensuring adherence to ISO system standards. The role also requires collaboration with QA specialists, participation in training programs, and contributing to the continuous development of the company through process optimization and innovation initiatives.

1. Daily Testing Work:

  • Perform sampling inspections of incoming raw and auxiliary materials; record and archive the data.
  • Conduct reliability testing as per the inspection plan, track the experimental process, provide feedback on results, and maintain records and reports.

2. Document Management:

  • Organize, archive, and update test records, reports, and methods.
  • Assist QA specialists with quarterly document reviews.
  • Report and manage expired records, reports, and MSDS in a timely manner.

3. Instrument and Equipment Management:

  • Follow laboratory management protocols.
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and calibration of testing equipment.
  • Support equipment acceptance, metrological verification, reference material control, and waste disposal.

4. 6S Management:

  • Implement the laboratory’s 6S management system (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety).
  • Address review and audit findings, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Handle emergencies in accordance with the organization’s emergency plans.

5. Consumables Management:

  • Oversee the storage, labeling, and inventory of laboratory consumables.
  • Update the consumables ledger regularly and request restocking when needed.

6. Skills Management:

  • Operate testing machines proficiently and stay updated on testing methods and standards.
  • Provide suggestions for improving existing testing techniques.
  • Participate in technical training, skills assessments, and meet qualification requirements.

7. Improvement and Innovation:

  • Identify and propose job improvement projects.
  • Actively collaborate with other departments on company-wide improvement and innovation initiatives.

8. ISO System Management:

  • Ensure compliance with management system regulations and technical standards to maintain system efficiency.
  • Implement corrective and preventive measures following audits and reviews.

9. Other Duties:

  • Participate in training sessions and team-building activities to enhance professional skills.
  • Regularly provide constructive suggestions to support the company’s growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in data management or similar or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in statistical methods, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and time series analysis
  • Expertise in using data analysis software like SQL, R, Python, or other relevant tools to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPI s)

Working conditions:

  • Works in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • May be required to work after hours and on weekends or holidays

Physical requirements:

  • Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

The range for this position is ​$25.00 hourly rate - $27.00 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
