Job Description

As an IP Paralegal (m/f/d), you will support the administration and protection of the company's intellectual property portfolio across multiple jurisdictions. Working closely with internal IP teams, inventors, external counsel, and patent offices, you will help ensure accurate portfolio management, compliance, and efficient IP processes. This role contributes to safeguarding innovation through structured and reliable intellectual property administration.

YOUR TASKS

  • Manage the intellectual property portfolio by preparing, filing, and tracking patent, trademark, and design applications across multiple jurisdictions
  • Maintain IP databases and management systems, ensuring accurate records, timely renewals, and compliance with filing deadlines
  • Support patent and trademark prosecution activities by coordinating documentation, filings, responses, and formal requirements with external counsel
  • Administer IP-related documentation including invention disclosures, assignments, licenses, agreements, and ownership records
  • Act as a contact point for administrative IP matters and coordinate with inventors, external service providers, and intellectual property offices
  • Generate portfolio reports, metrics, and dashboards, supporting budget tracking, cost monitoring, and portfolio reviews as an IP Paralegal
  • Support compliance with internal IP policies and contribute to process improvements, data quality initiatives, and workflow optimization

YOUR PROFILE

  • Recognized qualification in patent and trademark administration or an equivalent intellectual property related qualification
  • Additional qualification such as Senior Paralegal certification, administrative training, controlling, or a comparable background is beneficial
  • At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in intellectual property administration, patent management, or a comparable field
  • Strong knowledge of IP portfolio administration, document management, and coordination of filing processes
  • English language skills at C1 level; German and/or Spanish language skills are considered an advantage
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, maintain high data accuracy, and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive and structured working style with strong organizational and communication skills
