Job Description

As a member of the North America Network Infrastructure IP Business Center, you will lead market development and technical aspects of supporting sales and business development for Enterprise accounts, with a focus on Public Sector/Government, Education, Healthcare and Financials. This position will have the responsibility, in coordination with Sales, for the definition of strategies for customer acquisition, revenue growth and market expansion.

In this pivotal role, you will act as a trusted advisor to customers and sales teams, identifying and engaging new enterprise clients, and developing winning strategies. You'll collaborate closely with sales executives, managers, and engineers to drive IP business to closure, presenting compelling solutions to key decision-makers. Furthermore, you will contribute to product development by providing valuable customer feedback and creating innovative offerings for our IP portfolios. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with a solid background in Enterprise market verticals, networking technologies and infrastructure. Strategic thinking, market intelligence and technical to business translation are competencies highly desired for this role.

  • You will be required to be responsive to the needs of our customers and their sales teams acting as their trusted advisor for the IP products and solutions.
  • You will be required to work on identifying and engaging potential new Enterprise customers.
  • You must have a strong technical background, a clear understanding of the sales process, be completely self-motivated and able to operate in an independent manner with minimal supervision.
  • Work closely with the sales teams (sales executives, sales managers, sales engineers) on identifying opportunities and driving IP business to closure.
  • Develop the technical strategy for each opportunity with the sales team and drive it to technical acceptance by the customer.
  • Be able to meet with influential customer decision makers and communicate verbally or via presentation tools the exact details of Nokia’s IP product capabilities and the specific solutions being offered to the customer.
  • Develop technical collateral, such as white papers and PowerPoint presentations to demonstrate to customers how Nokia’s products and delivery capabilities are their best option for success. Work with Product Line Managers Drive to drive product development through customer and industry specific feedback based on current and future requirements. Creates offering for IP portfolios, services or end-to-end solutions.

You have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical work experience.
  • 12 years networking experience working enterprise vendors, including IP and data center related technologies.
  • 8 years of technical pre-sales experience and/or business development including leading customer engagements and internal strategy meetings.
  • Knowledge of IP networking and architectures.
  • Solid knowledge of Data Center networking, virtualization and architectures.
  • Expertise in protocols including OSPF, ISIS, BGP, VXLAN and MPLS.

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience selling to Data Center and large Enterprise accounts.
  • Understanding of the latest technology trends in for:
    - Network automation and programmability
    - Protocols including Segment Routing and IP/MPLS
  • Proven track record of break through sales
