Join us as an iOS Software Engineer

  • You’ll work from home some of the time, but you’ll also spend at least six days a month working from an office or hub

What you'll do

In your new role, you’ll be working within a mobile feature team to engineer iOS applications, scripts and tools, as well as liaising with other engineers, architects and business analysts across the platform.

You will design, develop, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI and modern iOS frameworks. You’ll contribute to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.

You’ll also be:

  • Producing complex and critical software rapidly and of high quality which adds value to the business
  • Working in permanent teams who are responsible for the full life cycle, from initial development, through enhancement and maintenance to replacement or decommissioning
  • Collaborating to optimise our software engineering capability
  • Designing, producing, testing and implementing our working software solutions
  • Working across the life cycle, from requirements analysis and design, through coding to testing, deployment and operations

The skills you'll need

To take on this role, you’ll need a background in software engineering, software design, and architecture, along with an understanding of how your area of expertise supports our customers.

You’ll have an background in mobile application development, with strong experience in iOS application development and knowledge on application quality through unit testing, UI testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.

You’ll also need:

  • Proficiency in Swift and UIKit and/or SwiftUI
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and backend service integration
  • An understanding of mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM-C or Clean Architecture
  • Experience with dependency management tools such as Swift Package Manager
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as XCTest, Snapshot and UI testing
  • An understanding of CI/CD pipelines and mobile release processes
  • Knowledge of Git-based source control and collaborative development workflows
