Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your industrial engineering expertise to the technology of maintenance and repair. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates supporting the lifecycle performance of our locomotive fleets.
You’ll play a key role in developing and improving maintenance technologies, standardizing repair processes, and ensuring the availability of the correct special tools, equipment, and spare parts. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with maintenance, operations, supply chain, and R&D teams to analyze repair efficiency, define technical standards, and deploy optimized work methods across the fleet.
You’ll specifically focus on improving workshop productivity, developing repair instructions and standard work sheets, supporting product modifications from a technological perspective, and driving corrective and improvement actions to ensure technical excellence.
We’ll look to you for:
Developing and maintaining repair technologies, work instructions, routings, and standard job cards
Defining and coordinating special tools, workshop equipment, jigs, and fixtures required for maintenance
Optimizing maintenance workflows, takt times, and repair sequences to increase efficiency
Supporting product modifications from the technology/industrial side (parts, tooling, process changes)
Creating and updating BOMs, tool lists, and spare parts lists linked to maintenance activities
Analyzing technical issues and leading corrective and improvement action plans (process, tooling, methods)
Integrating operational feedback (REX) into process improvements and standardization
Ensuring consistent maintenance technologies across fleets and locations
Proactively managing obsolescence of tools, parts, and repair methods
Providing technical guidance and training regarding repair standards and workshop practices
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering
Experience in maintenance engineering, industrial engineering, or heavy technical workshops
Knowledge of maintenance processes, repair technologies, and workshop tooling
