About the role

The role of the Logistic Inwards & Inventory Officer is to ensure the accurate and timely receipt of hearing aids, accessories, stationery, batteries, audiology equipment, brochures and other items and other associated processes. To manage the receipt of returns to central warehouse and inventory accuracy in the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

Stock/Inventory Management

  • Accurate and timing receipting of inwards into central warehouse (count and put away) hearing aids, accessories, stationery, batteries, audiology equipment and other items (hereafter referred to as Stock)
  • Accurate recording of inwards of Stock into the Amplifon database (JDE) to maintain robust inventory
  • Allocate and maintain warehouse bin locations, ensuring optimal stock placement, FIFO rotation, and efficient picking flow.
  • Coordinate with Demand planner/Logistics Specialist on missing inwards stock or under and over receip
  • Coordinate with wider team on any inwards and inventory related issues (including system issues
  • Conduct accurate month/year end stock takes/cycle count of stock
  • Track and trace missing consignments when requested

Stock Accuracy & Quality Control

  • Conduct quality checks on inbound stock to ensure it meets standards
  • Identify and report discrepancies or damages in received shipments
  • Assist in resolving inwards stock issues by liaising with suppliers and internal teams
  • Provision of required information and documents for internal and external stakeholders
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to improve inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and operational controls.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to warehouse layout, inventory tracking, barcode systems, and reporting tools
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with health & safety, warehouse procedures, and company policies

Contribution to Support Office Team

  • Ensure all emails are acted in a timely manner
  • Effective contribution to overall Operations Team / Support Office Team.
  • Participation in all SO teams’ meetings to ensure clear communication across the team
  • Provide timely updates and advice regarding stock issues, shipment delays, inventory concerns, and operational risks
  • Support wider business initiatives and operational projects as required
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and solutions-focused team culture

Outbound & Warehouse Operational Support

  • Support the Outbound Team during peak periods by assisting with picking, packing, labeling, dispatch preparation, and courier processing
  • Assist with urgent same-day clinic orders and priority shipments
  • Assist with returns processing, refurbishment workflows, and rework activities where required
  • Coordinate with the Outbound Team to ensure smooth workflow between inbound and dispatch operations
  • Provide operational support during high-volume campaigns, stock arrivals, promotions, and month-end periods.
  • Cross-train across warehouse functions to ensure operational coverage and business continuity
