What you’ll be doing
CIBC Investor’s Edge User Experience team is a cross-disciplinary group of UI Designers, UX Designers, Researchers, and Content Designers dedicated to elevating our brand and driving client engagement through compelling digital experiences. As a UI Designer focused on Growth, Brand, and Marketing, you will help craft visually impactful designs that communicate our value proposition, strengthen brand identity, and support marketing initiatives across our online and mobile platforms. You will collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and Technology teams to deliver creative solutions that drive acquisition, retention, and engagement.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $52,890 to $68,440.
The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

Important information
You are enrolled in a post-secondary program in Digital Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, or a related field that focuses on design at the time of the work term, with a graduation of April 2027 or later.

Duration of Work Term: 8 months (September 2026 – April 2027)

How you’ll succeed
Brand & Marketing Design – Develop visually compelling UI screens, banners, landing pages, and campaign assets that reinforce our brand identity and support marketing goals. Explore opportunities to use AI tools for creative ideation and asset generation
Growth Initiatives – Collaborate with marketing and product teams to design assets and experiences that drive client acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Creative Storytelling – Use creative thinking to craft narratives and visuals that communicate our value proposition and differentiate Investor’s Edge in the marketplace. Experiment with AI-powered personalization and content generation.
Production Delivery – Prepare production-ready specs and assets, supporting the rollout of marketing campaigns and brand initiatives in an agile environment.
Collaboration & Communication – Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and effective messaging across all touchpoints. Present creative concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
Time Management – Manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines, prioritizing effectively to deliver impactful results.
Continuous Learning – Stay up to date on marketing trends, digital design best practices, AI advancements, and evolving brand strategies, bringing new ideas to the team.
Who you are
You are proficient with Figma You are skilled in using Figma for UI, campaign, and marketing asset design. Experience with video editing and motion graphics (Adobe Premiere, AfterEffects) is a huge plus.
You have strong Visual Design Skills You have a solid understanding of layout, composition, typography, color theory, and branding.
You have a marketing mindset You understand how design drives engagement, conversion, and retention. Experience with campaign or promotional design is an asset.
You are a brand advocate You are passionate about building and evolving brand identity through design. You understand the power of visual storytelling for marketing and growth.
You are an AI enthusiast. You are interested in or experienced with AI-powered design tools, analytics platforms, or personalization engines. Curious about how AI can transform marketing and design.
You are an effective communicator You are able to clearly present creative concepts and advocate for brand consistency.
You are collaborative & adaptable You thrive in a team environment, open to feedback, and eager to learn.
