The Investor Services Senior Associate is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of investor servicing activities, ensuring high standards of client service, operational excellence, risk management and regulatory compliance. The role acts as a key escalation point for investor, client and team queries while supporting Associate development and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Team Supervision and Performance
Provide day-to-day supervision of Investor Services A1s and A2s, ensuring daily, weekly and monthly deliverables are completed in accordance with internal controls.
Identify daily team priorities, assign work effectively and ensure all required tasks are completed on time.
Support day-to-day performance management through regular one-to-one meetings, goal setting and the annual performance review cycle.
Operational Oversight
Perform review activities across trade, cash, end-of-day activity, reporting checklists and online e-checklists.
Monitor team activity across shared mailboxes and provide support on queries as required.
Client, Investor and Internal Relationships
Manage day-to-day client relationships and escalate issues to the Manager where appropriate.
Serve as an escalation point for technical and client queries, supporting timely and responsive service to investors.
Liaise closely with the AML team to review and monitor anti-money laundering documentation in line with policies and procedures.
Risk, Controls and Continuous Improvement
Promote risk awareness within the team and act as a role model for strong control practices.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity through process improvements and automation where applicable.
Contribute to department-wide training by drafting and delivering training materials and supporting on-the-job learning.
Key Relationships
Subordinates – engage in one-to-one meetings with direct reports, coach team members, act as a point of escalation and support the PPR process.
Superiors – provide direct support and regular status updates to managers.
External – build client and investor relationships, ensuring client deliverables are met.
Internal – build relationships with the Investor Services team and other departments, including NAV and AML, to support effective client service.
Knowledge and Experience
Degree in Finance, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.
Fund Administration experience, preferably in Hedge Transfer Agency, with some supervisory experience.
Demonstrated experience reviewing operational work and managing competing priorities.
Strong client service, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
