Job Description

We are looking for an Investment Data Analyst to join our client's team, a giant in the Financial Planning Industry. The candidate will work closely under the guidance and instructions of the Australian investment team to evaluate market trends, assess risks, and recommend potential investment opportunities. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a full-time Investment Analyst and Trader.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A relevant internship or coursework in finance or investments is a plus.
• While not mandatory, having a CFA designation is highly valued
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial data.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and familiarity with financial modeling tools.
• The ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong interest in financial markets and investment analysis.
• Minimum of 1 year work experience in a similar capacity is a must

Responsibilities:

• Assist in analyzing financial statements, market trends, and economic data to support investment strategies.
• Conduct research on Australian companies, industries, and market conditions to provide insights for investment decisions.
• Assist in preparing investment reports, presentations, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
• Study and monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors that can impact investment decisions.
• Collect, organize, and maintain financial data and research materials for analysis and reference.
• Engage in continuous learning to deepen knowledge of investment analysis techniques and tools.
