We are looking for a skilled Investment Specialist covering the Fixed Income asset class with special focus on bespoke solutions to participate to the activities of the Institutional and Wholesale (I&WD) Investment Products Team which acts as the knowledge hub for all investment-related matters (markets, products, competition). About this opportunity

Welcome to the I&WD Investment Products Team. We add value by being the knowledge centre for all investment-related matters (markets, products, landscape ). The Team is the main contact for our investment professionals being the internal asset management boutiques based primarily in the Nordic region or external asset managers spread across the world. We are in charge of promoting our investment solutions by conception of suitable marketing documents, product promotion and support to the dedicated I&WD clients’ sales team, also supporting them as an investment expert in client meetings, conferences, roadshows, conferences, etc.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as a subject-matter expert to promote our internal and external fixed income strategies with special focus on our FI absolute return strategies through your expertise, know-how and commercial sensitivity to our investors
  • Serve as the central point of contact for bespoke solutions within the Fixed Income segment, working in close collaboration with Sales and Portfolio Management teams to develop tailored investment strategies and ideas for clients.
  • Participate in conferences and client events as speaker and subject matter expert for related investment solutions and support relevant Sales person in one-to-one client meetings.
  • Respond to client and Sales inquiries in a timely, accurate, and detail-oriented manner
  • Develop and maintain high-quality marketing materials (e.g. pitchbooks, market updates, product presentations), clearly articulating key differentiators and tailored messaging for institutional, wholesale, and advisory client segments
  • Draft and deliver monthly and / or quarterly investment strategy updates informing our investors about portfolio developments, performance and performance attribution.
  • Perform the investment strategies and asset classes’ analysis through quantitative and qualitative comparison against our competitors.
  • Deal with Institutional and Wholesale Request for Proposals (RFP) on specific investment strategies.
  • Establish and maintain a good network with Sales, Product Managers and other key stakeholders

The role is based in Luxembourg and will require some travel. Welcome to a multilingual team of 30+ people, which is working in an inspiring, multi-cultural and creative environment with a Nordic touch.

Your experience and background:

  • A degree in finance, economics or related studies.
  • 5+ years experience in an investment specialist or investment analyst role, with experience in conducting research and investment analysis in fixed income. Any expertise in absolute return strategies and / or the bespoke business will be considered as an additional asset.
  • Fluent in Italian and English both written and spoken. Any other language will be considered as an additional asset.
  • Great presentation skills.
  • Good knowledge of the legal environment on UCITs funds
  • Well-organized and detail orientated individual, with the ability to persuasively present and defend ideas.
  • Genuine interest for investment with a good level of analytical skills.
  • Understanding of the needs of clients and sales within an Institutional and Wholesale distribution context of an Asset Manager.
  • Team-oriented person with experience in priority setting, ensuring timely delivery and acting within a multi-cultural environment.
  • Studying for or being a CFA Charterholder or a similar qualification would be considered as an additional asset.
