MassPRIM (Pension Reserves Investment Management Board), the $120+ billion Massachusetts state pension fund, is looking toaddanInvestment Officertoour growing Private Equity team.PRIM’s Private Equity program has received national recognition for its strong long-term investment performance and innovation.

The Investment Officer will contribute to a globalportfolio of private equity fund investments (buyout, growthequity,venturecapital),direct co-investments, and secondaries. The Investment Officer will be a vital member of the Private Equity team responsible for monitoring existing managers, identifying and executing new investment ideas, and leading investment research initiatives.

Investment Officer – Private Equity ResponsibilitiesandDuties

• Source,evaluate,andperforminvestment,operationalandlegalduediligenceonnewprivateequity fund, co-investment, and secondary opportunities.
• Utilizeandenhancequantitativeandqualitativetoolsandtechniquesinevaluatingnewprivate equity investment opportunities.
• Leadprivateequityinvestmentresearch projects.
• Monitorexistingmanagersbyanalyzingstrategy,process,organization,returns,risk,andcost.

Investment Officer – Private Equity RequiredQualifications

• Highlymotivatedandethicalindividual.
• Aminimumof5yearsofexperienceinprivateequity research/investing.
• CFA,CAIAand/orarelevantgraduatedegreepreferred.
• Ability to comprehend, synthesize, evaluate, and clearly communicate complex financial concepts and solutions.
• Abilitytomulti-taskandprioritizeworkflowinacollaborativeenvironment.
• AbilitytocommunicateeffectivelywithMassPRIMstakeholders,Board,andCommitteemembers.
