About Your Company

King Deux is partnering with a family office backed asset manager in expanding the private investment team in growth equity strategy. We are seeking a high-caliber investment professional to join our Healthcare and Life Sciences team. This role is pivotal in executing our dual-market strategy, identifying high-growth healthcare companies in the United States and Greater China that can benefit from cross-border synergies.

You will be responsible for the full investment lifecycle, from thematic sourcing and deep technical due diligence to transaction execution and active portfolio management.

This role can be based out in Hong Kong / US / Mainland China.

About your role

• Deal Sourcing: Proactively identify and originate investment opportunities in Biotech, MedTech, and Digital Health across US and China markets.

• Full-Cycle Execution: Lead all phases of the investment process, including financial modeling (LBO, DCF, Comps), valuation analysis, and drafting Investment Committee (IC) memos.

• Technical Due Diligence: Evaluate complex clinical data, regulatory pathways (FDA/NMPA), and IP landscapes.

• Cross-Border Synergy: Facilitate "Inbound/Outbound" strategies—assisting US companies in entering the China market and helping Chinese innovators scale globally.

• Portfolio Management: Serve as a board observer or strategic advisor to portfolio companies, supporting their growth, subsequent fundraising, and eventual exit (IPO/M&A).

What you will need to succeed

• Experience: 3–8 years of professional experience in Venture Capital, Growth Equity, or Healthcare Investment Banking. Candidates from top-tier Management Consulting (Healthcare practice) with transaction experience will also be considered.

• Academic Background: Strongly Preferred: MD, PhD in Life Sciences, or an MS in Bioengineering from a leading global institution. A dual degree (MD/PhD + MBA) is highly advantageous.

• Language: Native or professional fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is mandatory. You must be comfortable conducting due diligence and negotiating legal documents in both languages.

• Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of the health tech / biotech ecosystem, including clinical trial phases, healthcare reimbursement models, and cross-border regulatory shifts.

• Analytical Rigor: Expert-level financial modeling skills and the ability to synthesize complex scientific concepts into actionable investment theses.
