Bosch Ventures is hiring for the investment team in Boston. The Investment Director role maps closely to a Senior Associate position at other funds. In the future, Investment Directors will be given the tools and opportunities to grow within the Bosch Ventures organization.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate startups and investment opportunities in relevant technology sectors
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends and new market opportunities
  • Build and maintain a network of founders, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and ecosystem partners to source high-quality deal flow
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, including market research, financial analysis, and competitive landscape assessments
  • Prepare detailed investment memos and present findings to the global Bosch Ventures team
  • Manage and monitor portfolio investments

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related technical field.
  • 2–4 years of professional experience in venture capital, private equity, or corporate development.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation methodologies, including DCF and comparable company analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct technical due diligence and assess the commercial viability of nascent technologies.
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end transaction workstreams, from initial sourcing to closing.
  • Ability to synthesize complex market data into detailed investment memos and strategic briefs.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present findings to global investment committees.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without future sponsorship requirements.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support deal flow and portfolio management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD) in a technical or financial discipline.
  • Direct experience in a high-growth startup environment or a technical research and development role.
  • Established professional network within the global venture capital ecosystem, including founders, co-investors, and academic institutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in cap table analysis and legal term sheet negotiation.
  • Prior experience in board observer roles or providing operational support to portfolio companies.
  • Specialized knowledge in one or more of Bosch Ventures’ search fields, such as AI, automation, or climate technology.
  • Proven adaptability in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with the ability to manage independent workstreams effectively.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to build credibility with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

We offer a competitive base salary for this position with a range in US-Massachusetts of --$165,000 - $185,000 along with an annual corporate bonus, and a long-term incentive bonus designed to reward sustained impact and contribution over time. Within the salary range, the individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
