In this role, you'll:
Help make sure investment proposals, business cases, and funding bids across the Sydney Integration (SI) portfolio are well-coordinated, sequenced, and aligned with Transport’s priorities.
You’ll work with project teams, delivery partners, finance and asset teams to make sure funding decisions are clear, consistent and robust.
You’ll provide advice and insights on risks, trade-offs, and opportunities across the portfolio, helping decision-makers understand the impact of funding choices and make confident, evidence-based decisions.
Your work will make it easier for the branch to sequence investments, prepare high-quality funding bids, manage approvals, and track progress across multiple projects.
Key responsibilities include:
• Coordinating the preparation, submission and tracking of investment proposals and business cases across the SI portfolio.
• Providing advice and guidance on NSW Treasury, Infrastructure NSW (INSW) and Cabinet Office investment requirements.
• Monitoring the investment pipeline to ensure alignment with SI priorities and broader Transport sequencing.
• Preparing high quality insights, reports and briefings to support governance forums and steering committees.
• Building and maintaining relationships with NSW Treasury, INSW and other central agencies to ensure compliance with statewide frameworks
• Tracking and reporting on investment approvals, funding decisions and conditions to ensure visibility and accountability.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of business case processes and investment coordination practices.
• Collaborating with delivery teams to ensure consistency and quality of investment submissions.

About you
You’re someone who knows how investment processes work in a government environment and can help make funding bids and business cases clear, accurate, and robust.
You work well with project teams, delivery partners, finance and asset teams to make sure submissions meet requirements and align with priorities.
You’re organised, pragmatic, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities without losing quality or clarity.
You enjoy digging into the detail to spot risks, trade-offs, or opportunities that others might miss, and you use that insight to help decision-makers make confident, evidence-based decisions.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
• Demonstrated experience in investment coordination, portfolio management or business case development.
• Strong understanding of NSW Treasury, INSW and Cabinet Office investment and assurance processes.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high quality outputs under pressure.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship building skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience.
