Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks an Investment Banking Sr. Associate for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Prepare and review complex financial models for companies and/or their respective assets, conducting valuation analyses to evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, financings and other transactions. Manage the execution of large-scale transactions, including leading the preparation of transaction-related documents like offering memoranda and investor presentations, conducting due diligence processes, analyzing financial statements, and coordinating with legal, tax and other advisory teams. Work with senior officers in developing and maintaining client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and pitching tailored solutions. Conduct in-depth industry and market analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities, and provide sector-specific insights that inform strategic decisions of clients. Participate in structuring deals by advising clients on optimal capital structures, financing alternatives, and investment strategies that align with their financial and operational goals. Manage and mentor analysts by providing detailed guidance and feedback, managing information flow, and providing credit and exposure information to analyst, as appropriate. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Mathematics, Economics or related field and 2 years of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst, Investment Banking Senior Analyst, Quantitative Analysis Program Analyst or related position involving performing financial valuation, analysis and modeling for the financial services industry. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in the stated fields and 5 years of the specified progressive, post-baccalaureate experience. Full span of experience must include: Developing and maintaining complex financial models and performing complex valuation techniques; Utilizing Microsoft Excel in order to build complex financial models and perform valuation analysis; Utilizing Microsoft Powerpoint to build transaction-related documents, including Confidential Information Memorandum and investor presentations; Utilizing Bloomberg for obtaining real-time financial data and performing financial analyses; and Working with Factset in order to obtain data on different companies for performing in-depth analyses of potential transactions.
