Job Description

As an Associate in J.P. Morgan's Investment Banking team, you will be a key contributor to the origination and execution of mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory transactions for clients across the General Industrials sector. Working closely with senior bankers and product partners, you will support client relationships, lead transaction workstreams, and help deliver innovative solutions to some of Australia's leading corporate clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of M&A, equity and debt capital markets, and strategic advisory transactions.
  • Develop and review financial models, valuation analyses, and client presentations.
  • Conduct company, industry, and market research.
  • Coordinate transaction processes and due diligence activities.
  • Work closely with clients, external advisers, and internal product teams.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Contribute to business development and client coverage initiatives.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach to teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Experience within Industrials, Infrastructure, Transportation, Manufacturing, or related sectors.
  • CFA, CA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Previous experience supporting live transaction execution.
