Job Description

The Banker is a senior level position within Investment Banking responsible for assisting clients in and in relation to the Benelux in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as in providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the broader Investment Banking teams across the world. The overall objective of this role is to act as strategic advisor to our Investment Banking clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage past investment banking or related experience to enhance Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) execution and capital raising capabilities and contribute to building Citi's franchise
  • Build client relationships by providing sophisticated financial solutions tailored to the clients’ needs and acting as a content provider on market trends
  • Serve as the expert on financial and complex strategic issues relating to corporate finance transactions
  • Anticipate future changes in the marketplace
  • Meet revenue and other financial goals by establishing and maintaining a pipeline of episodic deals
  • Work with and provide guidance to junior Bankers to support their development and generally serve as a mentor to junior Bankers
  • Ensure that proposed client solutions meet or exceed internal risk and return standards, including stringent ethical standards,
  • Identify and anticipate all types of risks (e.g. industry, portfolio, diversification, sovereign, commercial, currency, etc.)
  • Appropriately assess risk, applying sound ethical judgment to all aspects of your work

Qualifications:

  • Ideally 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in people management
  • Experience working in an investment banking institution(s)
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred

This Role is a “Controlled Function” Role as defined by the Central Bank of Ireland Reform Act 2010 and Principal Regulations 2011, and amending Regulations 2014, 2015
