
As an Analyst within the Natural Resources (Mining & Energy) coverage team in our Global Investment Banking (GIB) business based in Sydney, you will be heavily involved in transaction execution, marketing and other client coverage initiatives, as well as playing a part in driving the culture, overall strategy, and growth of the business.
Job responsibilities
• Participate in the "full cycle" of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting internal and client presentations
• Demonstrate your analytical, modelling, writing and presentation skills
• Be knowledgeable about the global and Australian sectors and its participants and will collaborate closely with colleagues across JP Morgan’s global platform as well as the Australian product groups
• Be highly motivated, enthusiastic, proactive, and aligned with J.P. Morgan's growth aspirations
• Contribute to the development and learning of analysts working in the Global coverage group as well as the Australian product groups
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Minimum 1 year experience in an investment banking and an awareness of the products and services provided
• A well-rounded academic background from a top tier educational institution
• Strong financial modelling skills
• A general understanding of the M&A and capital markets transaction cycle and processes involved
• Impeccable communication details with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other product groups
• Proactive, highly motivated, and committed with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively
