About the Role

This role sits within the CIO Office and forms part of a team responsible for delivering accurate and timely investment performance reporting, portfolio analytics, investment monitoring, and regulatory/management reporting for the Company’s insurance portfolios. The individual will have exposure to a multi-asset portfolio and support (i) Investment governance and related reporting requirements within an insurance asset‑owner environment, (ii) analytics on portfolio performance for management insights and decision‑making and, (ii) Investment solutioning and product development initiatives.

  • Support management and committee reporting through high‑quality portfolio analytics, performance attribution, dashboards, and asset‑class insights.
  • Deliver portfolio analytics and governance reporting for internal Committees and forums in partnership with cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Monitor compliance with investment mandates, SAA/TAA ranges, investment risk limits, and other governance requirements and ensure completeness and accuracy of investment data.
  • Maintain strong investment governance oversight through regular internal control assessments and mandate monitoring.
  • Prepare accurate, timely and complete regulatory submissions and reporting packages for regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide analytics of investment solutions to enhance risk adjusted returns and optimize asset and liability positions to support insurance product development
  • Conduct gap and impact assessments on regulatory changes, internal policy updates, and revisions to the AIA Investment Governance Framework.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure operational readiness and smooth adoption of new regulatory or governance requirements.
  • Provide administrative support for financial controls, contract management, and other operational tasks when required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of investment operations, analytics platform, reporting workflows, and internal control processes.

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, financial engineering, data analytics, statistics, math, economics or actuarial science
  • Professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) or a relevant master’s degree are advantageous.

Experience and key skillsets

  • Possess relevant experience in asset management or insurance industry. Additional investment performance reporting / risk analysis experience will be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and operate effectively in a structured, control focused environment.
  • Possess (or willingness to build) knowledge on regulatory and economic capital metrics
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; accuracy and detail orientated; excellent communication skills; able to articulate and verbalise thoughts, ideas and reasoning
  • Proficiency with Aladdin, Bloomberg PORT/AIM and strong MS Excel / PowerPoint skills. Practical experience using Eagle IBOR, Data visualization software and Python is preferred
