Investment Advisor Associate

StaffBuffalo is working with a wealth management company in Buffalo, NY to hire an Investment Advisor Associate, paying $100,000 - $120,000+ depending on experience and background. This is an exciting opportunity for a polished, relationship-oriented professional who wants to build a long-term career within wealth management while delivering an exceptional client experience. The organization manages a substantial and growing book of business and is seeking someone who can become a trusted extension of the leadership team.

The Investment Advisor Associate will support financial planning initiatives, client service, operational coordination, and ongoing relationship management efforts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing analytical work with meaningful client interaction and who takes pride in staying organized, proactive, and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is self-motivated, highly professional, emotionally intelligent, and genuinely passionate about helping clients feel supported and cared for throughout their financial journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist advisors with financial planning preparation, portfolio reviews, account servicing, and follow-up activities.
  • Gather, organize, and maintain client financial information and planning documentation.
  • Coordinate client onboarding, account opening paperwork, and ongoing administrative requests.
  • Deliver a high-touch client experience through proactive communication, scheduling, and personalized follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and support ongoing client engagement initiatives including events and outreach campaigns.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and meeting materials while supporting day-to-day office and operational workflows.
  • Participate in client meetings, take detailed notes, and support long-term relationship management initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with a polished, professional presence.
  • Client-service mindset with empathy, emotional intelligence, and relationship-building strengths.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and general technology platforms; CRM experience preferred.
  • Interest in investments, financial planning, and long-term growth within wealth management.
