At BlueScope, integrity matters. We’re looking for an experienced Investigations Manager to join our Global Investigations Team, playing a critical role in how we identify, investigate and respond to serious misconduct across our global operations.

Reporting to the Global Head of Investigations, this role is a key part of BlueScope’s confidential reporting and investigation framework. You’ll lead and support complex investigations into alleged breaches of our Code of Conduct, policies and the law, operating with independence, discretion and sound judgment in matters that often carry reputational, legal and people risk

This role can be based in Melbourne or Singapore

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and manage complex investigations into corporate misconduct, including fraud, bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest and serious policy breaches
  • Conduct forensic interviews and review documentation using structured, defensible investigative methodologies
  • Manage and triage reports received through the BlueScope Speak Up hotline
  • Produce clear, evidence based investigation reports that support disciplinary, legal or remediation outcomes
  • Work closely with Legal, Risk, People and business leaders, including briefing senior executives on investigation findings
  • Support cross border investigations, navigating jurisdictional and cultural complexity
  • Contribute to broader risk mitigation by identifying systemic issues and patterns of misconduct

Qualifications

Ideally you will have proven experience working in government and/or corporate workplace investigations. Consultative, approachable and with excellent communication skills, you can build effective relationships quickly.

You are a trusted investigations professional who combines technical rigor with sound judgment and strong communication. You’ll bring:

  • Significant experience conducting sensitive investigations into fraud, corruption or serious misconduct within large, complex organisations or settings
  • Strong forensic and analytical capability, including interviewing, evidence assessment and documentation
  • Proven ability to draft clear, defensible reports suitable for legal, regulatory or disciplinary scrutiny
  • A strong understanding of whistleblower protections, natural justice and evidentiary standards
  • Confidence operating independently on sensitive matters, including those involving senior stakeholders
  • Exposure to investigations across multiple jurisdictions (Australian and international experience highly regarded)

Tertiary qualifications in law, accounting, business or a related discipline (CFE or similar certification highly regarded
