The Florida Gaming Control Commission is responsible for exercising all regulatory and executive powers of the state with respect to legal gaming, including pari-mutuel wagering, cardrooms, slot machine facilities, oversight of gaming compacts, and other forms of gambling authorized by state law, excluding the Lottery, as well as directly enforcing Florida’s gaming laws and combatting illegal gambling activities.
The agency is overseen by five Commissioners who are appointed by the Governor, with Commissioners appointing an Executive Director who leads a team of more than 200 staff members. The mission of the Florida Gaming Control Commission is to preserve and protect the integrity of gaming activities through fair regulation, licensing, effective criminal investigation, and enforcement.

Position Duties and Responsibilities
This is work conducting investigations, which may include processing appeals and/or extensive fieldwork involving alleged complex violations of the Florida Statutes. The incumbent of this position is responsible for conducting background investigations of possible violations of chapters 550 and 551, and section 849.086, Florida Statutes. Primary duties of the position will include investigating complaints and alleged violations of chapters 550 and 551, and section 849.086, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 75 of the Florida Administrative Code.

** QUALIFYING INVESTIGATIVE EXPERIENCE**
Is defined as independent investigative experience which includes the following activities: interviewing and interrogating witnesses, collecting and analyzing data and evidence, writing and summarizing case narratives, and testifying at criminal proceedings and administrative hearings. Experience must be clearly supported on the candidate's profile (employment application).
