Job Title: Inventory/Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Location: Sterling, VA (Onsite)

Duration: Long-term Contract

Direct Client Need

Position Summary:

• The Materials Associate supports aerospace manufacturing and operations by managing the flow, storage, and accuracy of materials used in production.
• This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, tracking, and issuing materials in accordance with company procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Working closely with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams, you will ensure materials are available, traceable, and fully compliant with aerospace and customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily shipping, receiving, and comprehensive inventory management tasks.
• Un-box incoming materials, box/pack outgoing shipments, and execute warehouse "put aways" using specialized equipment.
• Safely operate a forklift and reach truck to move, stack, and organize materials.
• Record all inventory and customer transactions accurately into the SAP database and perform routine data entry.
• Coordinate and work closely with logistics, quality, and manufacturing staff to ensure operational efficiency.
• Regularly lift, carry, and move warehouse materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory operations.
• Must currently possess or be able to quickly obtain a valid Forklift certification.
• Proven ability to safely operate a Reach Truck.
• Experience working in a stock room environment and performing cycle counts.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or other database inventory/receiving software.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent, e.g., G.E.D.) OR vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
