Job Description

  • Manages spare parts program, including identification of critical inventory, optimal stock levels, min/max levels, and obsolete parts
  • Conforms to SOX compliance for receipts, issues, inventory counts and adjustments, and reporting.
  • Ensures all inventory parts are received in the ERP system, organizes the inventory locations, and performs counts and part issues to keep inventory quantities accurate to the on-hand availability.
  • Ensures all parts that are consumed are issued out of the ERP system to the proper accounts.
  • Controls warehouse traffic and limits access to those who are authorized to check-out parts.
  • Keeps the warehouse in a clean and organized state.
  • Issue out inventory to maintain accuracy and proper inventory levels.
  • Conduct scheduled cycle counts
  • Issue out supply inventory and convey accurate counts to the Purchasing Agent.
  • Manage railcar receiving and ordering through Norfolk Southern and maintain railcar offloading documentation.
  • Kits parts and assemblies for scheduled work and outages.
  • Rotate motors stored in inventory.
  • Maintain required department reports.
  • Create assembly builds of finished goods and maintain accurate finished goods inventory counts.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
