Thispositionis responsible forexecuting andorganizinganaccurateinventorymanagementprocess, for all supplies, medications,andequipment maintenance for CSI Pharmacy.Works closely withpharmacy leaders, Patient Care Coordinators,purchasingand inventory associates, and Accountingto helpmaintainaccuracy and timeliness of vendor and drug data, within the purchasing processes and systems.Responsible fororderingandmonitoringneeded adjustmentsof medications and supplies using company software, ensures rotation of medications to avoidexpiration,facilitatesthe return or disposal of expired drugs.This roleassistsInventory and Pharmacy leadership tofacilitateallaspects ofinventory responsibilitiesincluding scheduling and coordinatingdistribution services, material management, equipment management, hazardous waste management, etcThis role’s performance ismonitoredbyavailable product by days on hand, tracking, documenting, and stockingofall medications,equipmentandsuppliesWorks closely with thefacilitypharmacy manager, pharmacy production team, Director of Inventory and Procurement, etc.to provide efficient coordination of pharmacy and distribution services.

Compensation Range $22 - $28/hr (DOE)

Location Windsor, CT

Schedule (On-site) Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

  • Coordinates/performs designated materials management activities includinginventory controland surveillance, preparation of purchase orders, placing orders with vendors, receiving incomingordersandmaintaininginventoryprocesses.

  • Assistsin orientation and training of newinventory technicians,warehouse team,and pharmacy production team members.

  • Facilitatespurchasingforthe site as directed by leadership andstandardized days on hand (DOH) par levels.

  • Accurate tracks and organizespurchase orders with outside vendors, ensuresappropriate approvalsand ensures association ofappropriate documentsfor accounts payable processingin a timely manner

  • Assists CSI’s Pharmacies with purchasing product andmaintaininginventory levels, including repositioning drugs and supplies as necessarythrough site transfers.

  • Maintains and monitorsmaterials inventories, ensures adequate levels of all medications, supplies, and equipment.Participates in monthly and quarterly inventories.

  • Documentsfacility’s inventory and purchasingresponsibilities areURAC/ACHC accreditation survey ready

  • Enters new medication(s) into dispensing system and coordinates technical entry requirements withappropriate department(s)

  • Updates andmaintainsmedication(s) in the dispensing system and coordinates technical requirements withappropriate department(s)

  • Manages equipmenttracking and maintenanceforpharmacysiteFacilitatesequipment pick-upfor discharged patients and preventative maintenance (PM) due.

  • Rotates medications to avoidexpiration,identifiesexpired drugs, andfacilitatestheir return or disposal

  • Receives,investigatesand documents recalls and returns affected product

  • Watches for drug shortages and adjustspurchasingpractices to adapt

  • Comparesprices between multiple suppliers to get best pricing available

  • Maintains effective workingrelationshipand cooperates with all personnel in the Company.

  • Adheres to the Company’s compliance requirements asstatedin the policy and procedure manual and all other related policies.

  • Consistentlyrepresentsthe company in a professional manner.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

  • Manages/supervisesinventorytechnicians and distribution activities

  • Process andmaintainmaterials management records and files including purchase orders, receivers, invoices, packing slips, open and closed files.

  • Reconciles andsubmitscompleted and closed purchase orders, gainsapproval andsubmitsto accounts payable.

  • Maintainsassetcontrol system for tracking owned and rented pumps andother homemedical equipment.

  • Maintains system for scheduling preventative maintenance services and repair services for infusion control devices and coordinates the performance of these services with a qualified biomedical equipment service provider.

  • Maintains and managesrecordof ICD's and HME cleaning, routine maintenance, preventative maintenance,and repairs.

  • Coordinates designated hazardous waste management and disposal activities andmaintainsrecords as required.

  • Participatesin recruitment andhiring ofpotential new pharmacy operations personnel.

  • Followsestablished channels of authority and communications throughout the organization.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diplomaCollege education or degreedesirable

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
