Summary

THIS POSITION IS GRANT FUNDED

The Inventory Specialist II will be responsible for assisting with the daily functions of Public Health including managing inventory for the Public Health Department. Orders, receives and store medical supplies and equipment. Processes incoming and outgoing mail and make deliveries for public health sites.

  • Maintains perpetual inventory and accounting of all Public Health Department stock records using computerized system.
  • Receives and maintains stock room for department’s medical supplies and equipment.
  • Delivers mail, supplies, and equipment to sites throughout the County.
  • Works with departmental programmatic areas for routine inventory checks and updates.
  • Provides administrative support to the division’s projects.
  • Purchases supplies and services.
  • Assists with payroll and mileage.
  • Monitors and maintains employee contact and health record database.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to stay organized and know how to prioritize the workload.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Competency with computers and Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory control methodologies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years warehouse experience required.
  • Current and valid driver license with a good driving record.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Two (2) years inventory control experience preferred.

Supplemental information

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent may be required to bend, hear, keyboard, sit, stand, talk, work alone and with others, and work overtime. Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
