The Role

Work Model: Onsite – Warehouse/Production Environment

Work Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week; overtime required as scheduled

Travel Requirements: None

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Reports to: Manager, Operations

Base Pay Range: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour

Summary / Primary Role

The Inventory Specialist II is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining materials, equipment, and other inventory items within the warehouse. This role maintains accurate inventory records, assists with inventory checks and cycle counts, manages stock discrepancies, and supports proper storage, handling, and disposal procedures.

What You'll Do

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory Specialist II who can maintain accurate inventory, safely handle materials and equipment, and support efficient warehouse operations.

  • Inventory Management
  • Verify inventory by comparing physical counts against inventory records and investigate or adjust discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock usage, damaged inventory, and stock-handling equipment.
  • Assist with coordinating cycle counts and inventory checks for customers.
  • Prepare stock and disposal reports and complete required EPA reporting.
  • Warehouse & Material Handling
  • Receive, store, locate, and relocate products and materials in an orderly and accessible manner.
  • Determine appropriate storage methods and locations based on product turnover, environmental factors, and facility capabilities.
  • Utilize equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as necessary.
  • Mark and label inventory using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Inspect stock items for wear, defects, or damage and report issues to supervisors.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Follow applicable clean-room policies when working in the clean/pharmaceutical room.
  • Support material disposal activities, including tracking empty containers and related charges.
  • Systems & Documentation
  • Enter extra charges into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Track empty drums and enter applicable charges into the system for monthly orders.
  • Use barcode scanners and other warehouse technology to maintain accurate inventory information.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must obtain Scissor Lift Certification internally within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Hazardous materials knowledge preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety and Defense / HACCP preferred.
  • Experience or ability to work with barcode scanners preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong time management, reliability, professionalism, and personal accountability.
  • Ability to work safely and accurately in a warehouse/production environment.

Base Pay Range: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position operates in a warehouse/production environment with exposure to airborne particles such as dust, shavings, odors, and fumes, as well as temperature and noise fluctuations and varying vibration levels.

The role routinely uses handheld radios, scanners, dollies, weight scales, pallet jacks, forklifts, and drum wrenches. The employee must be able to frequently grasp, pick, pinch, push, pull, lift, and carry materials up to 50 pounds. The position may also require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, crouching, and bending throughout the workday.
